Change Your Password

v20230207.JS

Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this document is to walk you through resetting your password.

Your Wycliffe, Workday, Wycliffe.org Google Account, Orlando Windows/Network,  and a few other accounts are all managed by the same system called the Wycliffe Identity Profile (or IDP for short).

This document will walk you through resetting your password via the Wycliffe IDP.

This document will not cover any other IDP or 2-Step Verification issues. This document will only walk you through resetting your password.

Logging into Wycliffe Identity profile

Depending on your location, click on the appropriate link below to begin the password reset process. Regardless of assignment, the process is the same.

  • Click on the Forgot Password link at the bottom of the screen. You do not need to enter a username or password at this time.

On the Forgot my password screen,

  • Enter your Wycliffe username.

    • Your username will be: firstname_lastname,  ie: John_Smith

  • Click on the Send Me A Link button

You may be required to complete a Captcha or two for anti-bot verification.

  • Complete the Captcha to continue.

Once you successfully complete the Captcha, you will see the following screen stating Email Sent.

If you recognize the email address…

  • If you recognize the email address listed at the top of the screen, then check that email account for an email that was sent from “no_reply_usa_idp”

    • This may be a personal email address or a Wycliffe or SIL address.

    • This address is most likely something you typed in when you first started at Wycliffe or information you gave to HR at some point in time.

    • You may change this once you successfully log in.

NOTE: If you do not recognize this email address, or do not have access to it, then please contact the Wycliffe HelpDesk.

You may need to wait a few minutes, but you should eventually see an email that is similar to the one you see in the screenshot below.

The screenshot below is for reference only, as your email system may look different from Gmail.

  • Once you receive the email, you will need to click on the link inside of it.

This will take you directly to a password reset screen for your Wycliffe IDP.

Resetting Your Password

Once you click on the link in the email, you will be directed to a Wycliffe IDP Password reset verification page.

  • Click on the button Create My New Password.

Start typing a new password in the Your new password field.

Passwords must contain at least:

  • Minimum 10 characters

  • 1 upper case letter

  • 1 lower case letter

  • 1 number

Once you have finished creating your new password, you should see a green message below it stating that it looks like a good password.

  • If you see the green message box below, then you may click on the Continue button.

  • If you see a red message below, then you will need to type in a different password.

After clicking continue, you will need to confirm your new password.

  • Type in your newly created password again, then click the Continue button.

If you were successful, then you will see an Excellent! Screen.

  • Click on the Continue button

You will then receive a message stating your password has been changed, and that you need to log back in.

  • Click on the Check My Profile button to log back in

You will now see the familiar Wycliffe USA IDP login screen.

  • Complete the logon process.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your password!

After logging back in,you will want to check the following:

  • Log into Workday

  • Log into Wycliffe.org Google Mail

If you successfully log into each of those, then you are all set!

Note for Orlando Staff:

For those that work in the Wycliffe Orlando Headquarters, this will also change your Windows password as well.

The next time you log into Windows, you will need to use your new password.
