Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this document is to explain how to obtain additional backup codes for your Wycliffe USA Identity Provider (IDP) account.

You may need additional backup codes in case you misplaced your old ones, or if your current list of codes has been used up.

This document assumes you are able to log into your Wycliffe IDP account without issues.

How To

To obtain additional backup codes for your Wycliffe IDP account, you will need to perform the following steps.

Logging into Wycliffe Identity profile

CLICK HERE to log directly into your Wycliffe IDP profile page.

It may ask you to authenticate your account using your security key or authenticator app. Do so now.

When your Wycliffe USA Identity profile page comes up, look to the bottom right corner of the page and you will see the Printable backup codes section.
If you click on Replace, it will remove any previous codes on your account and generate 10 new codes.
Click on the Replace button

Once you see the new codes on the screen, you will have the option to Print, Download or Copy the codes before continuing on.
You must choose one or multiple options before continuing.
- Print these and keep them in a safe place not with your laptop or laptop bag
- Download these to a file and save it to your computer, or even email them to yourself
- Copy the codes in a text based format that you can then paste into a text file, or email to yourself.
- Take a photo of this screen with your smartphone as an additional option.
Once you have finished saving your codes, you will be able to click the Finish button.

You will then see a screen stating “That’s It!”
Click the See My Profile button to take you back to your main Wycliffe USA identity profile page.
