    • Alternatively, find the Zoom Workplace icon on your home screen or in your app drawer and tap it to launch.

  2. Sign In:

    • Upon opening the app, you'll see options to "Join a Meeting" or "Sign In."

    • Tap Sign In.

    • You'll likely be presented with several sign-in options:

      • Email Address: Enter the email address and password associated with your Zoom account.

      • Google/Facebook/Apple: If your Zoom account is linked to one of these services, you can sign in using those credentials.

  3. Grant Permissions (Important for Phone Functionality):

    • The app will request various permissions to function correctly, especially for Zoom Phone. It's crucial to grant these permissions.

    • Microphone: Essential for making and receiving calls.

    • Notifications: Allows you to receive incoming call alerts and voicemails.

    • Contacts: Enables you to access your device contacts within the Zoom app for easy dialing (optional but recommended for convenience).

    • Camera: Needed for video calls if you plan to use this feature (not strictly for Zoom Phone, but part of the overall app).

    • Phone (Android specific): May be requested to manage phone calls.

3. Using Zoom Phone in the Zoom Workplace App

Once signed in and permissions granted, you'll land on the main Zoom Workplace app interface. To access Zoom Phone features:

    • Dial Pad: Tap the Keypad icon (usually a square of dots or a dial pad icon) to bring up the dial pad. Enter the phone number and tap the Phone icon to dial.

    • Contacts: Tap the Contacts tab within the Phone section. You can search for existing Zoom contacts, device contacts (if synced), or company directory contacts. Tap a contact to call them.

    • Call History: Tap the Recents or History tab to see your incoming, outgoing, and missed calls. Tap a number to redial.

  3. Receiving Calls:

    • When you receive an incoming Zoom Phone call, your device will display a notification, similar to a standard phone call.

    • You'll see options to Accept or Decline the call.

  4. Voicemail:

    • Tap the Voicemail tab within the Phone section.

    • Here you can listen to your voicemails, view voicemail transcripts (if enabled), and manage your voicemail messages.

  • Background App Refresh: On iOS, ensure "Background App Refresh" is enabled for Zoom Workplace to receive calls reliably when the app isn't actively open.

  • Familiarize Yourself: Spend some time exploring the different tabs and options within the Zoom Phone section of the app to become comfortable with its features.
